Notice: Change in Standings Rules

Dear participants and teams,

We'd like to let you know about an important update to our tournament standings rules, which applies to all categories.

What’s changed?

We have removed the "head-to-head" rule (previously: "Team that has beaten the one it is equal with will rank higher") from the list of tiebreaker priorities.

Why?

Since each team plays only a limited number of games and not every team faces every other team, it is often not possible or fair to use head-to-head results when teams are tied on points. In many cases, tied teams may not have played each other, or only some of them have. This makes a direct comparison impossible.

How will standings be determined if points are equal?

If two or more teams have the same number of points, the following priorities will be used in this order:

  1. Difference between goals scored and goals conceded
  2. Most goals scored
  3. Fewest goals conceded
  4. Fastest goal in the first game
  5. Second fastest goal

We believe this update will make the standings calculation fairer for everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding and good luck in the tournament!
